A number of junior players attending the JDCs have said they want to play more hockey but don't know where their nearest hockey club is and what they should do about joining. Well we've added a link to this blog which directs you straight to the England Hockey "Find a Club" website. There you can see on a map where all the clubs in our area (and across England) are located. By clicking on the club icons on the map you will see the club website that will tell you about the club. The icons also indicate which clubs are Club First accredited.
Club First clubs have accredited junior sections where the coaching and invlovement with juniors meets with England Hockey requirements. But don't discount club's that are not Club First as some of these are working towards it.
Once you identify a club you think would suit, call the club secretary or junior leader and ask to attend some of thier junior coaching sessions. If you like the coaching, club and other players then in time, join and play hockey for the club! Enjoy your hockey!
